Photographer Ines Opifanti captures dogs and their owners

Capture 3

There’s a common saying that dogs owners tend to look like their dogs. While photographer Ines Opifanti does not necessarily believe that is true, she does think that dog owners become increasingly good at mimicking their dog’s expressions.

In her series “Dog People,” Opifanti photographed owners and their four-legged friends. She paired the images side by side in which she had the owner copy their dog’s face. The expressions from both the animals and their owners are strikingly similar and speak to the companionship dogs provide for their humans. Although each photo is shot in the same exact fashion, the personalities of the pairings are individual to each couple. In this comical photo series, Opifanti’s work warmed our hearts and also gave a good laugh.
