Where to celebrate National Tequila Day

On Sunday 24th July, bars across the UK will be getting their finest agave based cocktails ready to celebrate National Tequila Day. Here we’ve rounded up the very best tequila cocktails to drink in bars across the Capital…
Paloma | Cazcabel Tequila X Double Dutch Pink Grapefruit
Nothing quite says summer like deliciously juicy cocktails, filled to the brim with ice and this National Tequila Day, award-winning tequila brand, Cazcabel suggests serving its Tequila Blanco with the brand new pink grapefruit mixer from Double Dutch to create a refreshing yet punchy Paloma. Garnish with salt around the rim of the glass and a large wedge of fresh grapefruit to create a simple yet sumptuous summer serve. 
For those wanting to enjoy their cocktails alfresco, Double Dutch is popping up in Covent Garden Piazza alongside Cazcabel from 21st July – 26th JulyHelping Londoners stay cool during the heatwave, the team will be serving a range of flavourful cocktails from their iconic Double Dutch VW bar, which is perfectly positioned for a pre or post shopping pit stop! 
Dreaming Mexico (£20) | St James Bar 
This visually titalting, intense serve champions the national spirit of Mexico; Casamigos Blanco Tequila is combined with savoury, dry and spicy notes of agave and aloe, pear, wine, yuzu and Peychaud’s. Evocative of the tropical climate in Mexico, this cocktail aims to transport imbibers across the globe to a totally different biome. 
Dreaming Mexico features in St James Bar’s Imagination menu, which is a truly innovative exploration of the concept of the imagination through drinks. St James Bar team has used unique flavours, molecular techniques and sustainable processes to challenge the logical in order to embrace the abstract, and invoke the scientific to create the fantastical.
 
Cilantronita at Kitchen at Holmes (£13) | Marylebone
 
This fiery twist on a classic combines house made Scotch Bonnet-infused Olmeca Blanca with fragrant Italicus, lime juice and coriander to create a peppy serve that is perfectly matched with some crispy, salty bar snacks (crunchy, bitesize croquettes or big, chilled olives topped with paprika)
 
The bar at Kitchen at Holmes is a relaxing spot, perfect for meeting friends and family for a few drinks or dinner. Enjoy its classic and seasonal cocktails as well as a fabulous seasonal bar menu which includes Jerusalem pitta with crushed tomato topped Tahini, beautiful Iberico ham and cuttlefish croquettes to name but a few highlights. There is also a lovely sunny terrace on Baker Street perfect for those looking to enjoy life al fresco. 

Cinco Picante at Skylight (£12) | Peckham  

Up on the rooftop, the team at Skylight are elevating the picante with a five-fold blend of spices. Volcán De Mi Tierra Blanco Tequila is combined with cointreau and chilli liqueur, finished with a peach-spiced rim. 
 This August, Skylight Peckham is hosting daily Skylight Sunset Sessions with DJs playing smooth R&B, dance-worthy afrobeats and more on the incredible roof terrace and will be daily rotating 2 for 1 cocktails from 5 – 6.30pm, including the Cinco Picante. The Sessions are the perfect, buzzy spot to wile away a long summer evening with best views of London, alongside great food and refreshing cocktails.
 
Il Conte (£17) | Eve Bar
Situated under Michelin starred Frog by Adam Handling and forming part of Eve Bar‘s new menu, V, the Il Conte is not to be missed on National Tequila Day. The clean and light oaky notes of Patrón Reposado are blended with citrusy kumquat and sweet Madeira, with added smokey notes from cocoa nibs and topped up with Prosecco creating a warming, giddy aperitif, the perfect pre dinner tipple.
