An exclusive guide to the nightlife scene in Shoreditch

The trending district for practically everything from vegan dishes to fashion statements, Shoreditch has certainly got a good rep. The East London area is also the epicentre for nightlife and themed events.

The clubs in Shoreditch are highly diverse, including roof terrace bars, hipster hang-outs and underground raves – essentially, there is something for everyone. Shoreditch is fairly easy to get to as well; simply look at the train times to London and then make your way there by bus, the tube, or if you think you’re up to it, walking.

Here’s our guide to the Shoreditch nightlife scene, to help you discover the places dishing up the best music, and even better bashes, for your next night out.

XOYO

Founded back in 2010, XOYO very quickly established itself as a clubbing and gig venue, thanks to its genre-defying line-up. Scores of partygoers flock here week in and week out to see their favourite artists on one of the two floors.

The line-ups here feature some global names and up-and-coming artists, providing an unrivalled track for the weekend. If you’re looking for a prime late-night location, this is the place to be.

Golden Bee

One of the best rooftop bars, particularly during the warmer summer months, Golden Bee is the ideal place to spend the evening. The cocktail menu is diverse and innovative, the seating areas are incredibly comfy and the dancefloor inside is thriving.

Better still, they host a happy hour on certain days of the week, so make sure to check before you go.

Bounce Old Street

Found right in the heart of Shoreditch, Bounce Old Street incorporates ping pong into your night-out itinerary. Your energy levels will remain high as you try to beat your friends at a classic game of table tennis, whilst testing the variety of cocktails they have to offer. There is also usually a resident DJ on hand to ensure only the best music is played.

If ping pong isn’t your thing, you can also try your hand at shuffleboard, or the well-known game of beer pong. Regardless of your ability, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.

Colours Hoxton

Colours is an upcoming multi-arts bar and club location in Hoxton Square. Whether you like to drive or not, it is an inclusive space for all to create, dance and meet up – paint the town however you choose to do so.

During the day, the space acts as a hangout for creative individuals to rehearse and record, with the weekends reserved for live music and drag shows. Expect a fun and colourful night out here that you won’t regret.
