In addition, the class teaches you how to navigate the heat of the Scoville heat scale in your laboratory station.
Tickets start at £50.00 and are only available on Thursdays. The tickets provide snacks and a complementary margarita to help cleanse your palette between trying your creation.
Catalina’s is located in Fitzrovia. Catalina’s staff is incredibly friendly and will give fantastic advice on creating the best hot sauce that suits you. In addition, you will learn about the history of the Scoville heat scale at a personal laboratory station, where you will mix several hot sauces to create the perfect bottle to take home with you.
Their chef Rupal makes all of their hot sauces at Catalina’s. Pick up freshly made hot sauce on Fridays and Saturdays from their restaurant.
According to their website, Catalina’s homemade Muerte Hot Sauce “is made using different types of chilis; some for smokiness, some for fruitiness, and some for heat. Using a combination allows all the flavors to develop on top of each other.”
