Everyone Says Hi is a London indie rock band formed by Nick Hodgson, the former drummer and main songwriter of Kaiser Chiefs, and Pete Denton, formerly the bassist in The Kooks. Hodgson fronts the band. The line-up is completed by Ben Gordon of The Dead 60s, Glenn Moule of Howling Bells and Oli Swan.
Funny Cos It’s True
The band’s second album, Funny Cos It’s True, was released on 25 September 2026. It was recorded at Hodgson’s home studio in north London, NME reported when the album was announced in June.
The release was followed by a run of in-store shows from 25 September to 1 October, at record shops in Bury, Leeds, Liverpool, Nantwich, Oxford, Brixton and Coventry. The Brixton date was at Dash The Henge.
The band
Hodgson left Kaiser Chiefs in 2012. The band’s self-titled debut album was released with a UK tour, which Made in Shoreditch covered at the time.
