Shoreditch has live music most nights of the week, from small rooms above pubs where new bands play their first London shows to larger venues in old warehouses and railway arches. There are free jam sessions, jazz nights and open mics as well as ticketed gigs. This guide lists the venues in and around Shoreditch with live music programmed for autumn and winter 2026, checked against each venue’s own listings in October.

150 Brick Lane, London E1

A venue in the Old Truman Brewery with gigs listed through November 2026. Made in Shoreditch marked its 25th anniversary.

Jazz, blues and jam sessions

The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch

134-146 Curtain Road, London EC2A

Live music every night, with Unheard, an open mic, on Thursdays and a jazz jam on Sundays. It stays open until 2.30am on Fridays and 3am on Saturdays. Made in Shoreditch has written about the venue.

Troy Bar

10 Hoxton Street, London N1 6NG

A small bar known for its jam sessions. Hoxton Jam runs every Wednesday, with doors at 8pm and the house band from 9pm, and entry is free. A jazz-funk jam on Fridays costs £8.

Finding a gig

  • Check listings weekly. Small venues add gigs at short notice.
  • Arrive early for free jams. Troy Bar and the Blues Kitchen fill up on busy nights.
  • Look beyond the headliner. Small venues often put several bands on one bill.
