1. Tell us about you, how long have you been making music? What inspired you to start?
I’ve been producing music since I was 15. I was inspired because my dad was a bass player and in a singing group when I was a kid and that inspired me to do music. I would always watch him write songs and play music, so he was my ultimate inspiration. My mom directed the choir at our church, so she also had us participate and singing in the choir at church so that was also a part of my inspiration.
2. The music industry is super competitive these days, was there a moment in your life that you wanted to give up on music? How did you manage to stay focused and achieve what you want?
One time, my studio was broken into and all my equipment was stolen and I didn’t want to do music anymore. It really discouraged me to lose my stuff. Instead of quitting, I took the downtime to really concentrate on building my faith and through that regimen my inspiration to do music returned. My faith is the basis of my music.
3. How would you describe your creative processes? Are the music and lyrics written in conjunction, or separately?
I have no rules. I can be inspired to make a track from anything. Sometimes it’s an answer to something somebody said or something that I heard, maybe in another song or even a movie. I can be sitting there and write from a personal experience. I can get a track or a beat and be inspired by that beat. It’s a lot of ways to spark a flame, there’s just not one way. I don’t really have a method. It just comes to me and I just go with the flow to create. Sometimes I’m in there just thinking about certain things and it comes to me. Sometimes I’m writing from a perspective of my life but then sometimes I’m representing a voiceless person that’s trying to say something and through my music, I feel like I’m speaking for that person. So my musical inspiration is definitely an array of life’s encounters and day-to-day that could truly be anything
4. Where did the inspiration come from?
All over! my inspiration comes from everywhere literally. The mission is to give people Information. To make people feel good. That’s the main thing to make people feel good, to make feel-good music to inspire people through music and put people at ease. That’s the inspiration to make people feel loved and to make people feel empowered.
5. What’s next for you?
The Kingdom Business Tour, and taking my music around the cities in the US and hopefully having an opportunity to come to the UK. My focus is on touring in this season, to reach as many people as possible through my music, elevating to the next level.
