XP Tavern is a gaming bar at 9 Chaucer Gardens, two minutes’ walk from Aldgate East station. It combines a bar and kitchen with PlayStation 5 Pro areas and two rooms of gaming PCs that can be booked by the hour. It opened in July 2025.

PS5 Pro areas
There are 15 PS5 Pro consoles. Play costs £12 per controller, with up to four controllers and up to ten guests per area. A day pass costs £50 from Monday to Thursday and £60 from Friday to Sunday.
The Hexagon
The Hexagon has 15 gaming PCs with Ryzen 5 processors, RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards and 27-inch 180Hz monitors. They cost £7 an hour, or £30 for a day pass from Monday to Thursday and £35 from Friday to Sunday.
Bootcamp
Bootcamp has two rooms of five PCs with Ryzen 7 processors, RTX 5070 graphics cards and 310Hz monitors, set up for teams. They cost £9 an hour, or £35 and £40 for day passes on weekdays and weekends.
Food, drink and offers
The bar serves cocktails and a food menu. XP Tavern’s listed offers include £1 wings on Sundays and Mondays, two cocktails for £13 from Sunday to Thursday, and bottomless Fridays. Board games are free to play.
