The food
The menu is short, with a few starters, around eight pasta dishes and a small choice of desserts. When Made in Shoreditch reviewed it in October 2020, the pastas included taglierini with preserved truffle and butter emulsion, fazzoletti with spinach, mascarpone and nutmeg, pappardelle with beef short rib ragu and tortellini with roasted pork shoulder and sage butter. A vegan bucatini came with tomato, confit garlic, black olive and basil. Dishes change, so check the current menu.

In 2020 the dining room had exposed brick, rustic mirrors and low leather banquettes, and a downstairs cocktail bar called Two One Four served drinks before dinner. The caramelised onion bread, for dipping in olive oil and balsamic, was the standout starter.
Each dish on the menu comes with a suggested wine. In 2020 the pappardelle was paired with a Barolo. The 2020 review found prices low for central London.

Before you go
Because there are no bookings, Flour & Grape is a poor choice for a meal on a fixed timetable. For more places to eat south of the river and in the east, see things to do in Shoreditch.
